Facts checked against the official pages on 18 Oct 2026.

MOE published its non-citizen school fees as a schedule that covers several years. The figures below come from MOE and ICA pages, and the fee tables carry their years.

Monthly school fees in 2026

On 18 October 2023 MOE announced revised fees for non-citizens in Government and Government-Aided schools, covering 2024 to 2026. The revised fees take effect from January each year. For international students (IS), the monthly school fees in 2026 are:

Level IS (ASEAN) IS (Non-ASEAN)
Primary $595 $1,035
Secondary $1,090 $2,190
Pre-University $1,290 $2,540

MOE's table also lists the earlier years. The monthly primary fee for a non-ASEAN international student is $985 in 2025 and $1,035 in 2026.

The miscellaneous fee

From 1 January 2024 MOE merged its two miscellaneous fee tiers into one. The same fee applies to students of all nationalities: $13 a month at primary level, $20 at secondary level and $27 at pre-university level.

Adding the miscellaneous fee to the 2026 school fee gives a monthly total of $608 for an ASEAN international student and $1,048 for a non-ASEAN international student at primary level. At secondary level the totals are $1,110 and $2,210.

The AEIS test fee

For the 2026 AEIS, MOE lists a fee of $340 for Primary and $630 for Secondary, with GST at the prevailing rate on top. The fees are non-refundable. MOE's page was last updated on 17 July 2026.

The Student's Pass

ICA says you need to apply for a Student's Pass if you are a foreigner who has been offered a placement to pursue full-time studies at a Government, Government-aided or independent school in Singapore. You do not need one if you hold a valid Dependant's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass or Immigration Exemption Order. The processing fee is S$45 and is non-refundable. A local sponsor is needed: a Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged 21 or older. Companies and organisations cannot act as sponsors.
